I am curious about River Road from Terlingua to Presidio, is it passable? I heard the road was not repaired after heavy flooding. My husband and I will be driving to Big Bend Park and we enjoy riding out on the scenic River Road.

I haven't heard anything about FM170 not being repaired. Nothing shows up on http://www.dot.state.tx.us/travel/road_conditions.htm so I'd imagine it's fine.

When we were there in March there was a detour of a few miles that took us on some very passable dirt roads that I believe were in BBRSP.  Other than that the road was fine.  I don't know how bad FM 170 was damaged, but I presumed it would have been repaired by now.

El Patio in Presidio is a favorite restaraunt of my wife and me.  We've eaten there five or six times and it's been great on each occasion.

We rode the River Road from Presidio to Study Butte last Saturday.  It's all fixed though there are several places where there was dirt/silt that has washed over the road.
