To keep us somewhat on topic, be careful if you do go out to ET. Let someone know where you're going and when you will be back. Make sure they will call the Rangers if you fail to check in on time. You never know what can happen....

Definately let someone know. First time at BIBE I camped at Elephant Tusk. Didn't hike all the way up to it that day, but spent a good bit of time there before sunset. There was one other car in the parking area. The receipt/permit in the window was bleached completely white from the sun. No one came back that night or the next day before I left. I notified the rangers of it when I left. Never found out what happened, but I'd think the car had to be there a while for the receipt to be completely blank.
