Cactus Rustling
« on: May 04, 2017, 05:52:05 PM »
After hearing someone complaining about people stealing cactus off his land, I did a bit of research and a link back to this forum came up in the results.  I saw several posts regarding it but nothing since 2010 so I'm just wondering what's been done about it in the past 7 years.  There are people in and around Terlingua that are seeing large trailers full of cactus around Terlingua Ranch.

And I feel guilty when I pick up a small, smooth, round stone out of Blue Creek and bring it home.
Leave "quit" at the car.  Embrace the trail as your friend.  Expect to enjoy yourself, and to be amazed.

ULP!

That was a coerced confession, and I was not read my Mirandas.

Please send the ticket to: Bob Marley Fan Club

There is a pending case of some importance.  I have also been accused of shooting the sheriff.

Dang, the list of charges is growing faster than our ability to add them up.

I sense a growing urgency to change tactics:

Regardless, can we see a picture of that "smooth, round stone?"

I think he's in big trouble. This was not a one-off.  It's pretty well known that Bob Marley has more stones than is good for him.

Man - I did once find an ancient 45-70 shell casing along the Juniper Canyon Trail once upon a time - and left it!

I believe you'd already confessed to shooting the sheriff. The deputy should be safe to send though.

Wasn't this the Blue Creek that runs through the Crooked River Ranch over by Blood Butte? Not the one in Big Bend. How dare anyone accuse dprather of a violation.  :eusa_hand:

Crooked River Ranch? Blood Butte? What could possibly go wrong? I dunno, sounds like The Bend is no country for old men.

What smooth, round stone?

Okay, dodged that bullet. What we now have here is plausible deniability.
