The burden of proof:

Caught in the banks of La Linda, with bread crumbs.....and a small hand made hook...yep!!, a fish story if you weren't there. I know how i sound..... :-\

One of the guys is a big time fisherman and wants to try fishing the Rio Grande down by Terlingua off the highway

But if you friend is what you say he/she is...don't expect any ESPN side banners along the river or any Ranger Boats docks soon. It is the most primitive fishing you will ever do.
Stay thirsty, my friends.

Fishing the river: Out past Lajitas the road goes near some pools in  the river for easy access. I've seen catfish and gaspergou taken from that area. Ask the locals at the High Sierra or the Ghost Town porch. Fishing is also allowed in the National Park. Good luck..   ZB

I was going to try to fish at the gravel pit. Has anyone tried that area yet?

The river road or the fishing camps in Black Gap are good
