I know this is an ancient thread, but just wanted to note that I also missed the turn heading south out of Ft Stockton towards Marathon back in Feb when I made my first visit to BIBE.  Very poorly signed from either direction... you'd think they would have fixed that by now.

Most of Fort Stockton's southern roads , so I've always thought of "The Turn" as being overrated. Most of the time, I take Colpitts Blvd, which deadends into 194 right about the point where 385 turns off to the south.
