Mirages!

This isn't in the park proper, but it was on the way. In May my husband and I drove down to the park, leaving Alpine at about 7. As we neared Santiago Peak, we were both floored as the mountains started DISAPPEARING. This wasn't fog, there were what appeared to be full on holes in some mountains, then "balancing rocks" appeared on top of other peaks where there were no rocks. If my partner hadn't been with me, I would have thought I was losing my mind. It lasted for about fifteen minutes, we got some shots on camera... The most mindblowing experience I've had while sober!
