Water in the Slickrock Zone?
« on: December 11, 2017, 03:35:46 PM »
I hope to be in the Slickrock Zone in a few days. Any recent info on water at Dike Tinaja, Slickrock Canyon, and points in between? With the recent snow should I expect a lot of water? Thanks.
I roamed and rambled, and I foller'ed my footsteps
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts
And all around me a voice was a'sounding
This land was made for you and me

Why hello DRS, a fine question. In fact, there are huge pools at Dike Tinaja and Slickrock Canyon,  as well as some deep pools in Oak Creek just above Rough Run.

Indeed funny DRS.  As with my work situation...I often end up answering my own questions.

Slickrock is on my shortlist for a trip starting early January.  Thanks for the report.  If I get there, will update everyone.  Sorry that I couldn't help before your trip.

DRS, I assume a report is forth coming, how is your knee?

Yes, I'll hope to get started on a report in a week or two. The knee, for the first time ever, feels better at the end of a hike than the start.

That's great to hear
Don't tell me you were in the park at the same time we and everyone else was?
