I wonder what tipped off DHSBP?  Maybe that the truck was dragging the ground????  Naw, they weren't going to distribute it - they were going to smoke it Cheech and Chong style....

Midland man arrested in Border Patrol marijuana bust

MARFA, Texas U-S Border Patrol agents have arrested a Midland man who was driving a pickup truck with more than 18-hundred pounds of marijuana.

The man was not identified. He was turned over to investigators from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration after his arrest Monday.

Border Patrol agents from Marfa stopped the 1995 Ford after it was spotted speeding on a rural road from the Rio Grande to Marfa. Agents found about 1-point-46 (m) million dollars worth of drugs wrapped in tape in the back of the truck.

Another man --- a U-S. citizen-- was also arrested.

Border Patrol agents in the Marfa area have seized about 11-thousand pounds of marijuana since October 1st.
