« on: May 12, 2006, 02:30:37 PM »
A few of us had such a good time last Saturday at the Flying Saucer we thought we'd try it again -

Saturday, May 13, 7 p.m.

Flying Saucer, 11255 Huebner Road, next to Half Price Books and just east of I-10.

Look for us on the patio!

Last week it really was last minute, so there were only two of us.  Maybe next time we should have the party at Moderno's.  Is it true that's where nachos were invented?

Homero, I have to hear that story.

I am a real pepper belly freak; like I eat Habanero sauce and that kind of really good stuff!

This may have to go to "Off Topic" along with really interesting topics like super glue.

I remember a friend of my Dad's introducing us to nachos in 1962-63 time frame.  Back then we made them with Chip-O's.  I think they were made by Frito.  They were round and about 1 Ѕ-2" diameter.  Anyone remember those?

For us SA folks, why don't we get email address' and do a broadcast mailing for beer and nachos. I woiuld have made it at the Saucer but I just (Sunday am) saw the post.  What do you think?

Sorry you missed us, Drifter.  There were only three of us, but we had some fun. Using e-mails and doing a broadcast mailing sounds like a good idea, if someone wants to organize it.  I may not be in San Antonio too much longer, so I'm not going to volunteer.
