The Republic of Texas is in the capital city of Overton.  That's close to you Shane.  Maybe you should do some covert operations and try to enter their circle of trust and give us a report on what they are up to.   OR you could just drive by their "Capital Building" and moon them.

What a bunch of nutbags.

I own property in the Davis Mountains and I believe you guys are talking about Richard McClaren.  If you get a chance, drive the scenic loop and up into Davis Mountains Resort.....anyone in the town can give you directions.  He and his clan were land owners up there and he started filing liens against his neighbors' property.  In Texas, anyone can file a lien for any reason.  It is up to the person being "liened" to defend their property.  Horrible!!!  Anyway, he started filing liens, trying to evict people from their property.  There is a woman that works at Davis Mountains Realty there in town.  Her name is Fran.  She was the one that stood up to him......the situation deteriorated and they called in the Texas Rangers to clean it up.  I love Fort Davis.  Please check out Murphy's Pizza when you are there.
