This event is FREE and open to the public. All are invited to see this preview of the upcoming documentary from noted filmmaker Ken Burns. He and his partner Dayton Duncan will discuss the film, its genesis and take audience questions. Come out and support Friends of Big Bend National Park and all of our great parks at this one of a kind event! Bring your families and friends for an evening of top quality entertainment that won't cost you anything but the parking fee.

I wish I could attend!  I'd love to meet Ken Burns (he's the guy that has made some great documentaries including, The Civil War)

The Friends is having a member event in San Antonio on June 20, 2009 at La Fonda on Main. If you are a member of the Friends, or have a Big Bend license plate, you are invited to attend.

Superintendent Wellman and Chief of Interpretation Elkowitz will be giving an update on the park, repairs being conducted due to last fall's flooding and projects that the park is working on. It's a great chance to get an in-depth look at park operations from top park staffers.

If you are not a member, but wish to attend the event you can join by paying membership dues at the door or logging onto our website at:
www.bigbendfriends.org

Looking forward to having everyone attend!
