That's pretty cool.  Looks like there were more roads through the area back then.  I also see a cave next to the Colquitt mine.

You want to talk old roads...  Look at Google earth and you will see the  track of many old dirt roads.  (Like the lines on the planes of Nasca they will be visible for years to come.)  What makes this interesting is these roads went somewhere.  So what is at the end of them?  Mark the coordinates, load them into your GPS and go looking.
