Maybe. The Bing Interactive Weather Map is often a little optimistic when it comes to showing precipitation.

Voni just posted to her Facebook page that it's raining at their place in Terlingua Ranch. :eusa_clap:

Shane:  me too.... guess the long, hot, dry summer weather had me thinking people taking showers, not the natural kind from the sky.

Rain in both BBNP and BBRSP would have stopped those thoughts :)

From the TP&WD Facebook page:
Quote
It's raining at Texas Parks and Wildlife - Big Bend Ranch State Park - Sauceda! A slow, steady drizzle for the last 2 hours (.09" so far). If it can rain in Big Bend, surely it can rain in the rest of Texas.

Daily Report shows Lajitas with a half-inch of rain this month.

Whoa -- when did that happen?

IT's RAINING AND I WILL TAKE FULL CREDIT!   :icon_eek:

For the first time in over two years  :icon_eek: - I've spent the last several evenings giving the Avalanche a bath and a wax and a total cleaning inside and out - finished last night.  It's raining here in East Texas right now.  Can't just be a coincidence or the alignment of the stars, no, I tell you it is because I washed my truck.

Say, do you need rain in your area?  Maybe the NPS BIBE and Terlinga and TPWD would like to pay me $10,000 for every inch of rain I produce.  I'll drive to your location and wash and wax my truck...   :rolling: - payment in advance of course.  Be sure to read the very fine print.  No guarantees.  No refunds.  Read the very fine fast print

Looks like a little rain fell in the park yesterday...

Ah Big Bend, we will soon return to reacquaint ourselves in our ritual of blood, exhaustion and dehydration. How can we resist the temptation to strip ourselves of the maladies of civilization?
