Stargazer columnist coming to Fort Davis

JEFF DAVIS COUNTY - Amateur astronomer Paul Derrick, author of "Stargazer," which appears every other week in this and other Texas newspapers, will present two free slide programs at the Davis Mountains State Park amphitheater April 26 & 27.

Wednesday's presentation will be "Constellations of the Season," and Thursday's will be "A Journey to Outer Space."

Both programs begin at 8:30 p.m. and, weather permitting, will be followed by a green laser tour of the night sky.

Derrick, who lives in Waco, is also author of A Beginner's Guide to Learning the Night Sky which is in the Marfa Public Library and available for purchase at the Marfa Book Company.
