Are there any Terlingua Ranch property owners out there?

If you have a Yahoo email account, join up with the group TRANCHO, they have to approve your "application" as it is a private group.  It's a hoot to read their posts about all the problems out there with the POA-Property Owners Assoc., Board of Directors, etc.  They also have a website at   http://www.terlinguaranch.com/  There is also some good information there.

We drove down through there one time, wanting to check out the campsites since they allow campfires down there.  Didn't like the "feel" of the area.

I don't have a clue as to what the small white sign says.  Maybe the property owner on the next post knows.

says "no office here".  The sign was added because people kept driving down that road looking for the Many Tinajas Hunt Club.

I own a bit of the ranch; have stayed there a couple of times.  The lodge is pretty basic; thought ya'll might enjoy this sign, which was posted on the door to my room.

Hey Roy

I did not know you owned a piece of the action down there. I'd like to hear a little more about that in the future !

Hi Roy,  where's your land located?  "Quaint" sign!  It's kind of laid back down here.  When we first moved here, people told us that what we have out here is called "Terlingua Time", meaning don't get in a big hurry 'cause it won't do a bit of good.  One of the local business people had this take on tourists, "They're in a hurry to get here, they're in a hurry while they're here, and they're in a hurry to leave.  They're in too damn big a hurry."  We've settled in nicely with Terlingua Time now.

Good morning all.   Glad to see you found us Desert Woman.

Bobcat, do you ever sleep?

Bought the land back in '99;  it belonged to my accountant. She had inherited it from her dad who bought it during the original "land rush" in the 70s.  She didn't know anything about it, never been out there, no interest in going out there.  Basically, I just wanted a piece of the area to call my own, but I did have some plans to buy a little more land and build a little place.  Circumstances dictated otherwise.  My land is in the North Corazone area, about halfway into the lodge, about a half mile north of the main ranch road.  No water, but relatively close to electricial hookup.

I could use a little "Terlingua Time";  planning to take a week in April but it's still pretty tentative. I have got to start saying NO more often.  Or maybe it should be H--- NO!

BTW, if you haven't checked out Curt's video under "What's the big deal?", you should do so ASAP.  And turn on the sound.

Re sleep...my sleep chemistry sucks.  Actually, I'm a sleep disorder person = RLS diaged in a sleep disorder center.  I'm treated for that, but I still struggle.  I'm having trouble getting Curt's video going.  My windows med player sez it's loaded 100% but no dice when  hit the play button. I loaded with David's thing.  Guess a popup suggested that I need codec.  I'll go back and try again. And, yeah, you should say H** No and get to the Park b4 you get hit by Mac truck or something like that :!:

Yea, hotels put up those signs saying were saving water to save the environment.  I don't buy it.  I call it saving money.
