Burglaries strike Lajitas, Stillwells, local residence

By Denton Ramsey / Staff Writer
Three area burglaries have recently been brought to the attention of the Brewster County Sheriff's Department and, according to Sheriff Ronny Dodson, all three cases still have no solid leads.

The first burglary occurred on Saturday when two antique firearms and a 4L Brand arrowhead collection were stolen and taken from the Hallie Stillwell ranch.

On Monday morning, the Sheriff's Department was notified of a burglary at the Lajitas Resort Airport where a plasma screen television, some miscellaneous items and a cased-in flag were stolen.

Also occurring Monday, a report was filed concerning two firearms being stolen from a local residence off Mosley Lane.

If anyone has any leads for local authorities, they are encouraged to call the Brewster County Sheriff's Department at 837-3488

I just can't help but hate thieves- I consider them parasitic lowlife scum....

It's even worse when they are taking historical items.
