What happened to Clay Henry?

Here's what I know or have heard.

Saturday friends visited but couldn't find beer for Mayor Clay Henry. 

He was disappointed.

Sunday afternoon when we stopped by he had vanished!

The word on the porch at Terlingua Ghost town was that he had been poisoned!

Yesterday I rode to the Badlands Hotel in Lajitas to get the official word.  The lady assured me he had been set free!

He didn't need a life of beer and worry from tourists she said.

The truth is out there.

That's Clay the 3rd from what I read in Lajitas. Wonder if they're gonna get a 4th. Too bad the other one got set loose.

I heard Lajitas was going to sober up Clay.  Poor feller probly had the DTs so bad they had to put him out of his misery.

Wow so my Lajitas Poster featuring Clay Henry will probably become a collectors item.
When I was rafting last October the guide told me that some local A%# from Terlingua tried to castrate the mayor one night while drunk and bungled the job.  Apparently this guy left town before anyone could arrange something similar for him.   I was kind of hoping the new buyer would return the Trading Post to what it has traditionally been and keep the mayor drunk and happy but apparently the mayor doesn't fit into the new format.
Set Free my Arse.... sounds like he took a one-way trip somewhere.. TWWG

Thanks for the link Medic - that explains a lot of interesting things and I like the way the next line below features an Enchillada Plate Special right after the line about finding the poor animals parts in the trash.  ughh.

I never knew Steve Smith himself had testified agains't the idiot from Del Rio about the goat.   The guy was probably pissed off that the Billionaire took his expensive beer he had bought at the "trading post" and gave it to the hollywood actress for her to feed to the goat.   Billionaire's can buy there own darn beer, or get it for free from the store they own next door to the goat.   No wonder they got rid of the goat - but it was a local icon and I certainly wasted some of my own money feeding it (though I only gave it Lone Star)... TWWG

That goat was the only reason I made a special trip to Lajitas. It's a very dumb idea to get rid of the goat. It's an icon for Lajitas.
