Nettle toxins are alkaline....histamine release....epinephrine injector handy or it's lights out.
Shane, you might want to check with an allergist;

Great points.  Sounds like you know what you are talking about - thanks.  :D

Yep, never am far away from at least 1 of 3 Epipens and 150mg of benedryl.  Severe allergic reaction to those things that chickens lay.  Have always wanted to try heuevos rancheros   :cry:

Epipens are soooo much better than the old way of having to prepare a traditional needle injection.   :lol:

Question - benedryl liquidy stuff, does that do any good on nettles, jellyfish, etc.?  I usually have that stuff around for msq. bites, etc.  Also have meat tenderizer in the Avalanche first aid kit and in the R2D2 camper first aid kit...

THANKS.  (P.S, I've never had any trouble with nettles since I stay out of the rough - of course, if I wouldn't hit the little white ball into the rough, or lake, or sand or trees or freeway in the first place I'd never have any problems on the golf course......)

There are ointments that contain benadryl, some in combination with cortisone (I think);  probably more effective to apply these locally, but downing a little benadryl liquid would be a good idea.

Ammonia gets tricky when it comes to base vs acid.

Urine is usually at least a little acidic, although I think some strict vegetarians (definitely doesn't describe Shane) have alkaline urine.  Usually, highly alkaline urine means something bad, sometimes REALLY bad.
