Sweet.

P.S. I resized all of your picture files to save disk space (3.73MB v. ~55MB) and speed up page loading.

Thanks DJ! Very :cool-thumb: and innovative. I have a couple of technical questions...

From your photos it looks like you went to the right at the tight squeeze?

Also, did your "managed experience" with the rangers require a passport?

Don,

Yes, I went right at Tight Squeeze. And, no, the rangers did not mention a passport, though I took mine with me.

Thanks for sharing and great photos!   I would love to do this canyon again (last time was ~1984).  Glad it went well for you and your trip report ranks as one of the best on BBC because it is a place rarely visited and also a area that is hard to get first-hand current data on.  Thanks for posting...  TWWG

Is this what you found: http://www.seaeagle.com/PaddleSki.aspx

Yep that's it. Thanks DJ.
Right now I'm in search of a used dual sport motorcycle for back road exploring, but I think the PaddleSKi would be the next item (it seems perfect for me) I'd need to extract every possible bit of enjoyment out of the parks many facets.

I have considered a motorcycle but have concerns about having a flat tire in the backcountry. I have on 2 separate occasions had 2 flat tires on my truck while on River Road East. That was a problem.
