Thanks for sharing a special time.  I kept seeing visions in my mind of our two younguns on their first trip to Bibe, and hearing my wife call out to them to "Wait for us".  Got to find those old pictures!

Great photos!  I am so excited that my wife has agreed to a return to BiBe in late January!
Ah Big Bend, we will soon return to reacquaint ourselves in our ritual of blood, exhaustion and dehydration. How can we resist the temptation to strip ourselves of the maladies of civilization?

Richard,

When we go Back in Dec. the girls told me to tell you they want you and Jennifer to go.
They said that way we can have fun all over again!
I'm hoping my wife will be jealous of all the fun we have and demand we go back out then!

It's about time. How long had it been? Did it feel like coming home?

I made a short trip out last December with my wife. At least my daughter lets me roll down the windows to smell the desert air!

A short video from the end of the trail in Santa Elena Canyon (or at least as far back as we went).

From the mouth of the canyon (very windy).

Our second trip down the sand slide.

Jennifer had climbed up to the top the first time before I even knew she had started up. Pe-Paw had problems operating the video camera, so we climbed up and did it again, along with Katie and Sarah on their first attempt. Jennifer wanted to do it a third time, but we were running late. Or at least that's my excuse. I think I would've passed out trying to climb it a third time.
