I've been reviewing your many previous excellent trip reports from BiBe and I'm wondering....what's next in BiBe for you?

A week-long Lajitas to RGV trek (complete with bubbles, silly poses, and mountain lion sightings)  :icon_wink:

What is this!  No comments about my HAT!

Great hat, shouldn't you replace the Santa hat in your avatar with the Cat in the hat one now?

Well Randell you've done it again, another excellent trip report/adventure with great pictures. Outstanding!  :eusa_clap:
Thanks!

I couldn't tell from the pictures, was that infamously named tinaja shaped like it's name?
It reminded me of a throat most of all.  One could also say it resembled a female...ummm...flower.

I was contemplating it while ago but haven't committed to a particular photo.

Jeez, I don't know.  My next non-family trip is a four day Grand Canyon backpacking trip in September.

I still haven't explored the Smokey Creek area or done the Outer Mountain Loop.  Most likely I will end up somewhere around the base of the Chisos in the Mule Ears area.

Backpacking in the Grand Canyon in September is going to be HOT during the day. May want to change your hat to a sombrero so you can have some shade.

I can attest to that... and it is very deceiving as morning temps along the rims of the canyon can be quite cool, even cold, but temps can jump 20-30F in less than an hour under direct sun as you descend into the canyon.

Good to know.  It is not my trip so I haven't really looked into it.  I just sent the average temp chart for Sept to the guy who is planning the trip.

You've answered a burning question hubbie and I had..."what does the top of Santa Elena look like?" Thanks to you, we now know!

Absolutley freaking awesome pics!!! A couple even induced vertigo! Don't know that I could get that close to the edge! Thanks for sharing another amazing trip report and the pics!

Just re-read all this Randell, and it makes we wish we'd had better water luck when we hiked the Mesa earlier this month. There's probably lots of pools of water out there right now, but there was only dust when we hiked it.
