Thanks for this. I am at work and as I was reading it a coworker came by, said good morning, then turned around, and asked if I was ok. Danged allergies... Richard is sorely missed and he always will be.

Haven't posted out here in awhile but stop in on occasion to check on what's going on. I'd been wondering, and now I know. A very fitting memorial post. Rest in peace.

What a wonderful tribute...

I and my daughters had the pleasure of hiking with Richard on Jenniferís first trip and your Dadís last trip back in Nov. of 2010.  We all had such a good time hiking, laughing and watching the girls enjoy themselves in Big Bend...Richard and I hoped to again meet up with the girls in Big Bend for another adventure , but it wasnít to be.

As I look back on that trip, I realize what a special time it was...RICHARDís vast knowledge of th Park allowed him to become th guide for our trip and enabled me to see some secret locations that Iíd probably never got th opportunity to experience if not for Richard.  I looked through my pics and Richardís of the trip and the memories came flooding back.

If I only could turn back time...

I don't come around often (which I should really change). I read this and it was all I could do not to

Hi TW!  Good to "see" you around. What a great memory you have.  Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Speechless.  What an amazing tribute.  I wish I could have met Richard in person, but plan to in spirit when my wife and I hike the MV in Feb.  God Bless.
