Thanks, Richard. Turns out it was the GPS tagging feature that was ballooning the file sizes. I fixed it. Maybe

Maybe Well, they're still pretty big. Keep in mind that the attachment feature wasn't intended for photo sharing. If I find time later I may go back and shrink them some to make them load faster and save on server storage space.Check out http://www.bigbendchat.com/portal/forum/photography-gear-and-tips/image-resizer/

Ah, Badknees, it's a great map, a brilliant map. I loaded it and pored over it endlessly before I left. I transferred the relevant spring locations to my custom maps, but I didn't take a GPS on the trip, only a GPS-enabled camera. My navigational choices will, in due time, as I lay out my story, become a point of great discussion, I suspect. Did you notice that I may have discovered a new spring near the eastern mouth of Devil's Den. I included a photo. I have more that I didn't attach because they're too large and I haven't figured out how to effectively resize them.
These are great words. Often poetic, but technical, informative at the same time. Bravo!
